Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
Let’s talk.
Life can be hard and it’s ok to seek support to get you through difficult times. As a trauma-sensitive Internal Family Systems therapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor I work collaboratively with you to gently navigate away from overwhelm and into calmer waters.
With a backdrop of 10+ years teaching and facilitating mindfulness and somatic wellbeing practices we’ll draw on a range of approaches to gently encourage and guide your system into more balance and stability.
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons including complex traumatic events and experiences, depression and anxiety, relationship breakdowns, bereavement and other life changing events. We all need a space to offload and untangle the messiness of life, a space to discover who we are and what we want, a space to be truly listened to without judgement or opinion.
Sessions are tailored to suit what the different parts of you need, exploring what needs the most attention from week to week, working towards goals of your choosing in a way that feels best. We always move at your own personal pace which can look like: talking through past events and stories, exploring childhood and formative relationships, noticing whats been challenging or painful for you recently, finding patterns and ways of relating to them that feels more aligned with how you want to be. Together we create a space that allows you to delve deeper, get to know yourself more broadly, and become more attuned to your Self.
Through our work you will likely learn more about your internal system and grow an appreciation for some more obscured parts, developing a greater sense of who you are and be able make any adjustments or changes you feel you need.
It’s important to find the right person to work with, the therapeutic relationship is key, so please get in touch for your commitment-free call to see if you want to dive deeper with me.
Sessions cost £55.
I hold an allocation of reduced-cost appointments for students and people on low income - get in touch to check availability. For long term work (exceeding 10 consecutive appointments, 10% discount applies).
